Design and Physics
How can design explain science? Here are some responses with these creations resulting from a seven-year collaboration between a design school and physicists. Read more
Between 2010 and 2017, physicists from Paris-Sud University / CNRS proposed to a design school, ENSCI-Les Ateliers, to collaborate on fundamental physics topics such as quantum physics, superconductivity, optics …
Each time, a workshop of 4 months allowed about fifteen students supervised by professional designers to explore one of these subjects, in close collaboration with the physicists. Sometimes students have produced popularization and science communication tools, other times they have been inspired by physics to produce design objects or installations, sometimes they even imagined the future… Discover here these productions with a hybrid status.
